And here we go again….
Anti-gun crusader and professional hysteric Sen. Dianne Feinstein has renewed her vigorous call for increased anti-gun rights measures as Americans witness another tragedy perpetrated by, seemingly, a deranged individual.
On Monday, after a gunman opened fire at a Naval building in Washington, D.C., leaving 13 dead and many more wounded, Feinstein gruesomely pounced on the opportunity to once again demand what Americans have repeatedly rejected.
“When will enough be enough?” Feinstein said in a statement Monday.
“Congress must stop shirking its responsibility and resume a thoughtful debate on gun violence in this country,” she said. “We must do more to stop this endless loss of life.”
I agree. The government should make murder illegal…wait a minute…
“I mourn those killed today at the Navy Yard in Washington and send my thoughts and prayers to those families grieving the loss of loved ones,” Feinstein said.
“There are reports the killer was armed with an AR-15, a shotgun and a semiautomatic pistol when he stormed an American military installation in the nation’s capital and took at least 12 innocent lives,” she said.
“This is one more event to add to the litany of massacres that occur when a deranged person or grievance killer is able to obtain multiple weapons — including a military-style assault rifle — and kill many people in a short amount of time,” Feinstein said.
What Feinstein has failed to understand is that she has single-handedly proven the point of gun rights advocates; presuming that the gunman did use and AR-15 (which all reports indicate), then the question becomes, “How did he get an AR-15 in Washington, D.C, where such weapons are already illegal?”
The kind of “assault weapons bans” that gun-grabbers like Feinstein champion do nothing more than prohibit them in a similar fashion as the nation’s capital already prohibits them. Still, the gunman was able to procure one and step foot into the city and shoot innocent citizens. Unsurprisingly, it appears that the threat of a gun violation did little to dissuade the man who was bent on murdering people.
So, once again, it looks like we will have to endure another round of “national discussions” concerning gun control and the nauseating, purposeful denial of reality by liberals.
